Our Framing Process
Initial Consultation
Begin your project with a free consultation. Our site manager will visit your home to discuss your space, review your vision, and provide expert advice on your design.
Framing the Structure
The process starts with the subfloor, where we install floor joists and beams, securing them with specialized hangers and brackets according to design requirements and building codes. We also add extra bracing and supports for crew safety, even beyond what is specified in the plans.
Next, we frame the exterior walls, structural members, and interior partitions. For multi-story homes, the second subfloor is framed atop the first-floor walls, repeating the process until the roof is reached. The roof trusses are then lifted and installed, followed by the roof plywood sheathing. Our skilled framers often employ creative techniques and hand-cut methods to complete the roof stage.
Basement and Interior
We frame the basement partition walls and handle back framing and touch-ups to prepare the house for drywall installation.
